Our first Renovation Circle’s success story.

This renovation project was completed in the School of Renovating’s Wonder Women program.

Bernadette Janson, founder, and owner of the very successful School of renovating started the Renovating’s Wonder Women Program to help women become successful renovators and create a secure financial future.

By creating a joint venture with Sheree, Karen, and Cheryl through My Property Circles, the expectation is that it will open possibilities for all members of the school of renovating wanting to embark on team renovation projects within a Renovation Circle. So they can start renovating without the large amount of cash you normally need.

After securing all the legal necessities the group decided the main objective of this Renovation Circle was to renovate, sell and make a profit.

Meet the Circle members:

Bernadette – Owner of the School of Renovating and renovator on this project

Sheree – Styling & onsite support when needed

Karen – Managing the money, the numbers and payments

Cheryl – Support person, picking up supplies etc

About the Property

The property is a 2 bedroom 1.5 bathroom split level apartment in the Princess Gardens Building on Chalmers St Surry Hills.

To say it was filthy was an understatement. The bathroom was plagued with mould. The kitchen cupboards were rotting due to water damage. The walls, carpets were black with grime.

As a result they paid $926,720

The location is highly convenient with the nerve centre of Sydney’s public transport, Central Station, and a plethora of eateries and bars just a stone’s throw away.

The Prince Alfred Park Pool directly across the road not only offers opportunities for leisure and exercise but the lush vista with its majestic trees provides a mesmerizing view from the living room and balcony.

When entering the apartment, you close the door on the chaos of inner city life and feel an immediate sense of tranquility.

It is perfect for the time poor professionals seeking solace from their busy lives or families seeking the convenience of an inner city paradise.

Thanks to the building’s thoughtful orientation, a gentle breeze draws you through the central hallway, transports you down a level where it opens up to reveal a stunning open plan living space with expansive views of the park.
